Purple Line Reaches Financial Close

The Purple Line’s multiyear restructuring saga has finally come to a close – financial close. This month Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP) and the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDoT) reached financial close for the restructured project. Construction along the line may now restart in earnest, with new design-builder Maryland Transit Solutions (MTS).

Inglewood Transit Connector CEQA Completed, Shortlist Coming Soon

The Inglewood City Council approved the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Inglewood Transit Connector project last week, completing the final step to certify the project’s environmental permits under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The city is aiming to complete a dual-track P3 procurement to deliver the transit line later this year.

GDoT Releases SR 400 Express Lanes RFQ

The first DBFOM procurement of what portends to be a massive managed lanes project pipeline is officially underway. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDoT) published an RFQ for the SR 400 project on March 31st. The project will develop approximately 16 miles of express lanes along SR 400 extending north from Atlanta’s I-285 interchange.
