On the one hand, times are good for American transit. The sector enjoys more political support than ever before, receives more federal funding, and over the last few months has seen the opening of four multibillion dollar megaproject extensions – East Side Access, the Silver Line, the SF Central Subway, and Boston’s Green Line.
