The New Aloha Stadium and Entertainment District (NASED) moved forward with one of the two procurements being used to deliver the program this month. Proposals in response to a Phase 1 RFP (which is qualifications-based) were due on December 3rd for the real estate development portion of the project. A shortlist and 2nd phase RFP are currently planned for the first quarter of 2022.
The procurement is the first major step forward for the project since the state opted to split the project into two separate procurements – one for the original P3 to redevelop Aloha Stadium, and the present real estate procurement for a master developer for between 70 and 80 acres of property development surrounding the new stadium.
