MD OP Lanes Toll Rates Approved, SDEIS Comment Period Ends

The Maryland managed lanes project passed a few milestones in November. First, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Board approved toll rates for the state’s OP Lanes managed lanes project, advancing the project’s proposed economics after a long public comment period. The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDoT) also closed the comment period for its Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) at the end of November. The next steps for the state’s NEPA permitting will be to publish a Final EIS responding to comments received.
