LAX Automated People Mover: Testing Moves to Central Terminal

A new phase of testing has begun for LAX’s long-awaited Automated People Mover, LA’s largest public-private partnership. Although testing began earlier this year, it was far from the airport – and the prying eyes of future passengers – as it ran largely from LAX’s upcoming central rental car facility (ConRAC) and a station at the Economy Parking Garage. This time, testing will be proudly visible, as cars run along elevated tracks near the airport’s Central Terminal Area (CTA).
