Kansas City International opened a new, $1.5 billion terminal this spring. The P3 contract to build the project was finally signed in 2019 and, after four years of construction, the terminal began accepting flights at the end of February. It was the largest public works project in Kansas City’s history, and 240 local companies were able to contribute to the project.
