The Calcasieu River Bridge along I-10 in Louisiana was originally built in 1952 and has a bridge sufficiency rating of 6.6 – a rating out of 100, not out of 10. It is in dire need of replacement. A P3 to replace the bridge has been in the works for several years. The project got a much-needed boost from the federal government in December, in the form of a $150 million MEGA Grant.
