Fresno State University Energy Retrofit Project Completed

At the end of October, the Bulldog Infrastructure Group reached substantial completion on the Fresno State Campus Utility Project in California. The project scope included the replacement of the University’s central utility plant and upgrades to its hot and cold water distribution networks to reduce its carbon footprint and energy expenses. The Bulldog Infrastructure Group is a consortium led by Meridiam and NORESCO, with GLHN onboard as the lead engineering and design firm.

Fresno State awarded the Campus Utility Project concession in January 2021, which includes operations and maintenance of the system over a 33-year term. At commercial close the deal was valued at $170 million. The project was financed via a 30-year green bond and equity provided by Meridiam.
