Puerto Rico’s Public-Private Partnership Authority (P3A) closed another major procurement for the island’s energy grid in January. On January 25th, P3A announced that it reached commercial close for a brownfield concession to operate and maintain a portfolio of thermal generating assets. The assets were previously managed by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA). The concession has been in procurement since late 2020.
