The San Francisco Metropolitan Transit Authority (SFMTA) will soon accept final, revised proposals from bid teams for the Potrero Yard Modernization project in San Francisco. The project will completely redevelop an aging, 4.4-acre municipal bus maintenance yard near the Mission District in San Francisco, with the intent of expanding capacity and preparing for the transition to a battery-powered electric bus fleet. The winning concessionaire will maintain the upgraded bus facility under a long-term concession which will be funded by availability payments. The city is also considering a milestone payment at the completion of construction to offset some of the project capital costs.
