This month, Governor Youngkin joined Virginia Secretary of Transportation Shep Miller, local officials, and partner Transurban at a groundbreaking ceremony for the 495 Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project. Once completed, the $660 million project will extend Virginia’s managed lanes network 2.5 miles along 495 all the way to the American Legion Bridge.
