After several months of deliberation, the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) board voted in October to move forward with a P3 procurement for the I-77 South Express Lanes Project. The board vote will enable CRTPO to form a working group with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to develop public objectives for the project and key terms for the procurement.
